Pilatots Benefits

“In childhood, habits are easily formed-good and bad. Why not concentrate on the formation of only good habits and thus avoid the necessity later on in life of attempting to correct bad habits”.

Joseph Pilates

We believe that understanding the connection between the body & mind should be constantly reinforced to aid mental and physical development.  In a world where children’s physical and mental health is constantly being challenged by technology and social pressures, we have crafted classes to help with posture, growing pains, skeletal development, and mental health.

Recent government figures (NHS) show that between 34%-50% of children and adolescents have different degrees of incorrect posture, a staggering 30% of children aged between 2-15 are clinically obese and unfortunately 41% of children in the UK suffer with a degree of anxiety and depression. These numbers are uncomfortable reading, but we believe with the right support, motivation, and movement we can support children to develop into a generation of happy, healthy children.

It has now been proven that learning to breathe correctly benefits the brains motor functions and the development of both neural and muscle-skeletal systems and movement and is the only thing that unites brain levels and integrates the right and left hemispheres of young learners.
